FREE Lesson Plans for Children

I know a woman who absolutely BURSTS with ideas for Children's Church. She is called Called CALLED! Oh, how she just hums! When she was first offered the chance to oversee a children's ministry in her local church she came home and absolutely buzzed about all the plans she had. Every week new ways to use her ideas developed and I sat and watched amazed as she suddenly had the energy of a woman half her age.
I could barely comprehend what she was doing because to her it was so obvious. She said she was doing something with FROGS ... and at first I thought she had built a frog pond in the classroom. Then she explained it but I still don't understand all of it. She has some sort of rewards system with words that start with the letters F-R-O-G-S. I'm not sure what those words are but they're something like "Fellowship, Righteousness, Obedience, Gospel, and Salvation" and every week, the kids can earn points by participating or evincing these qualities in their behavior...AMAZING!
For a lot of us, though, this sort of automatic, high-gear, all-out "Idea machine" doesn't exist. Slogging through the everyday work of keeping those little guys interested, engaged, and participating can be tough and tiring and we need fresh ideas all the time. So where do the ideas come from? Sure, we can find books at our local Christian bookstore but, let's face it, a lot of us don't even have a classroom budget and these books and little prizes and all these things cost money. Even so, there is an answer.
Believe it or not, there are places on the web where you can find FREE ideas for child discipleship that includes the Pentecostal distinctive. The link above is one of those places.
If you're working with children and are "plum outta idees" or if you just would like to add another perspective to what you're doing, you'll find a lot of different materials for your use. Have fun wallowing in the riches of it all!
