How many people does it take for your church to have a "successful" worship service? Have you thought about that? Each Sunday, churches all over the world need volunteers to help with various ministries in the church. Whether you ned 30 or 300 all of them are important. Here is another question. Remember to celebrate your volunteers. They are the life of your church!
Remember to celebrate your volunteers. They are the life of your church!
- If you are a pastor, in your next sermon, take time to brag on how great the volunteers are in your church. It will go a long way!
- Take pictures of your volunteers helping in various ministries and post them to social media sites with a "thank you" in the post. Tag them in it so that they can be aware that you recognized them.
- Read testimonial emails that you get from people who have been blessed by your church. We call these "impact emails" and we let our volunteers know that without them, we couldn't have touched anyone.
- Be respectful of their time. Don't have meetings that are long and drawn out. Be prepared so that your meetings are productive and exciting.
- Keep your volunteers in the loop. Let them in on exciting news before you share it with the church body.
- FEED THEM!! Take them out to eat!
- Spend time with your volunteers outside of a church function or event. Take time to get to know them and who they are.
- DON'T ABUSE THEM!! Let them have time off so that they can "re-charge"
- Have easy "off ramps" meaning don't lock them in to perpetual ministry.
- Finally, BE NICE!!

Honor’s Reward
Below you will see a youtube video by John Bevere. He is going to give an hour sermon on his book "Honors Reward". This is one of the best books that I have read on what it means to honor. In my opinion, when we talk about celebration, we must also talk about honor.
How to Attract God’s Favor and Blessing
Honor’s Reward unveils the powerful truth of an often-overlooked principle: the spiritual law of honor. If you understand and practice this virtue, you will attract blessing both now and for eternity. In "Honors Reward", John weaves scriptural examples and personal stories to demonstrate the nature of honor’s reward. You will dig deep into God’s Word and discover how your value and respect for others determines the rewards you receive.
- Understand the spiritual law of honor
- See the three levels of honor’s rewards
- Discover how honor and dishonor can forever affect those around you
- Revolutionize your family, career, ministry, and more
Watch and enjoy..... Read the book!!
